Kara Molony Hussey
Kara has over 20 years of tennis teaching experience, including 17 years as Head Tennis Professional at Summit Hills. This program has developed into one of the top instructional programs in greater Cincinnati, including the development of multiple State Champions, and nationally ranked players. Kara has also introduced hundreds of players to the wonderful sport of tennis, many of which have gone on to compete successfully on their High School teams.
  • Coaching Career:
    • Held Head Coach and Asst. Coach positions at Notre Dame Academy for 12 years between 2000-2017 during which time they won Team Regional Championships each year, a State Championship, and State Runner-up. Multiple times named Coach of the Year in N. Ky.
  • Playing Career:
    • Notre Dame Academy 1994-1997: led team to N. Ky.'s 1st State Championship in 1997; 4-time All State; 4-time Regional Player of the Year; Regional and State Doubles Champ in 1997 with sister Lyndsey (the 1st sisters in state history to win); 3-time Regional Singles Champ, 1995 State Singles Runner-up.
    • University of Cincinnati: Conference USA Player of the Year; 3-time All Conference; 1st player in program history to make the NCAA tournament where she defeated an All-American in the 1st round; played in the All-American Championships at Riviera Country Club; record-breaking career at UC includes most singles wins in a season and career, and most combined singles/doubles wins among records.
  • Pro Career 2002-2004:
    • Achieved a top-600 world ranking on the WTA Tour, including reaching the Singles Semifinals in Miami, Fla., and the Finals of Doubles at Lafayette, LA.
  • Other Honors/Accomplishments:
    • 5-Time MET Champion; Cincinnati Tennis Hall of Fame; Northern Ky. Athletic Directors Hall of Fame; Notre Dame Academy Hall of Fame; Named one of Cincinnati's Top-100 Players of all-time (male or female).
  • Certification: United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA).
